Kosovo marks June 5 - World Sports and Environment Day

The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Vlora Dumoshi, after the resumption of her mandate, has continued with activities within the realization and fulfillment of the plan and objectives she has as a minister, in accordance with the agenda of the MCYS for this year.

Minister Dumoshi took part in the activity organized by the Kosovo Olympic Committee, to mark June 5 - World Sports Day.

On this occasion, Minister Dumoshi said that after the resumption of her mandate as Minister in MCYS in the Hoti government, will continue to work with dedication and will cooperate in the interest of advancing the areas that are the responsibility of the ministry she leads.

"Together we will work hard, especially for sport, because we will not have healthy sports if we do not have a clean environment. This message is good as every citizen should plant more trees and refresh our nature. I invite all citizens, that each of them in the municipalities they live, to give the best message for the preservation of the environment to make Kosovo as clean as possible", said Minister Dumoshi after planting the Olympic tree along with the President of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, Besim Hasani, as a symbol to mark this important day for sports.

Minister Dumoshi also said that "the Emergency Package, which is supposed to hell athletes, will be discussed. She said that this issue will also be discussed at the Government meeting.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, Besim Hasani said that “Today is the World Sports and Environment Day, and the Olympic Committee has joined this day and by planting this tree, we want to send the message to every young person to plant the seed for the care of the environment”.
