Reaction related to the World Book and Copyright Day

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports wants to clarify to the general public that the article published in several portals "Ministry of Culture forgets about the Day of the Book" is untrue and tendentious. Such unverified articles are not in the benefit of the book or of public opinion.

The Ministry of Culture has marked the Book Day last Friday with an organized event at the National Library of Kosovo "Pjetër Bogdani", whereby Minister Kujtim Shala handed out books for the readers. The event marked on Friday has been public, so such misinformation is tending, and in no way is beneficial to book.

MCYS, with its policies, has consistently assisted the book, by increasing the budget and subsidizing authors, publishers and libraries. Likewise, we are working to establish a book agency and culture promotion as a mechanism that will further develop and advance book policies.
