Fushë Kosova will have a sports hall in the amount of 1.55 million Euro

Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports has signed today a memorandum of cooperation with the municipality of Fushe Kosova, on the visit of Minister Kujtim Shala and MCYS representatives realized today in this municipality.

The memorandum aims at financial support for "Construction of the Sports Hall in the Municipality of Fushe Kosova" which will be implemented from 2017 to 2019. MCYS supports the project with the financial value of 1 million 400 thousand Euros, an amount divided into three parts: 50 thousand Euros for 2017, 700 thousand Euros for 2018 and 650 thousand Euros in 2019. Meanwhile, Municipality of Fushe Kosova on this project will invest 150 thousand Euros, divided equally into three years foreseen in the memorandum.

Minister Kujtim Shala, said that this project in in the benefit of the citizens of Fushe Kosova, as it will create new space especially for sportspeople of this municipality. This capital investment, the minister said, comes in the context of improving the infrastructure and conditions of sport, which is also one of the strategic objectives of the Government.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Fushe Kosova, Burim Berisha, expressed his gratitude to Minister Shala and MCYS for the support given to Fushe Kosova. He said that the construction of the sports hall is extremely important for the citizens because it is necessary to have space for conduction sports activities for sportspeople and athletes of Fushe Kosova municipality.

Also, Minister Shala and mayor Berisha visited the location where it is expected to be built the Nature Museum of Kosovo, at Sllatina Pines, a project in which MCYS will invest around three million Euros.
