Canada strongly supports Kosovo in the field of culture

At the Gallery of the Ministry of Culture, was opened the exhibition, "The Nature of the Universe" of the artist from Canada, Jo Ann Lanneville where present was also the Ambassador of Canada based in Croatia, Daniel Maksymiuk. Exhibition of the Canadian artist is a reflection of the world around her for many years and her works present volcanoes, caves and artistic pieces related to human behavior in everyday space.

The exhibition was also attended by Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Rexhep Hoti.

At the opening of the exhibition, Ambassador of Canada, Daniel Maksymiuk said that it is a pleasure that he is in Kosovo, to closely see a partner country for which his country has done a lot before, during and after the war and continues to help to this day.

He said that the exhibition of Jo Ann Lanneville serves as a common meeting point to know more about the special art world in Kosovo.

Ambassador spoke about the contribution of the Canadian Embassy given in order for Kosovo to become part of the Francophonie organization.

He said that Canada will continue to support Kosovo in the field of art, cultural and other fields.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister Hoti expressed his gratitude for the contribution and assistance that Canada has given and continues to give to Kosovo.

With emphasis, Deputy Minister spoke about Kosovo's membership in the organization of UNESCO for what Ambassador of Canada Maksymiuk offered support for Kosovo to as soon be part of this organization.

Hoti said that the greatest heritage of Kosovo, namely Palo Christian churches should be under protection of UNESCO.
