World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development

21.05.2021

World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development is an international day marked on 21 May adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in the framework of UNESCO to promote cultural diversity. This day was created in response to the destruction of Bamiyan Buddha statues in Afghanistan in 2001.

Diversity Day, formally known as "World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development" is an opportunity to help communities raise the value of cultural diversity and promote living together in harmony.

This day is very meaningful in Kosova as one of the most peaceful countries in Europe with different cultures and perspectives that coexist in the spirit of tolerance and diversity.
