Minister Dumoshi took part in the unveiling of the Olympic Rings

The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Vlora Dumoshi, together with the President of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, Besim Hasani and the Rector of the University of Prishtina, Marjan Dema, today have made the unveiling of the Olympic Rings.

The five-color rings that symbolize the five continents have been placed by the KOC in front of the sports house in Prishtina, where the KOC offices and many sports federations are located.

On this occasion, Minister Dumoshi said that this is a special moment and the placement of these Rings will be of special importance to athletes.

"It is a special moment, as we are part of the International Olympic Committee, the Olympic Games, and we have an Olympic champion, who will be the main figure for inspiring young people. Prishtina is ennobled with these Olympic Rings, which have a message for the development of sports and world peace, so MCYS will always be the right wing in such initiatives, with the sole purpose of sending Kosovo forward through sports ", said the Minister Dumoshi.

She also thanked President Hasani for all the activities and development and establishment of the Kosovo Olympic Committee.

Meanwhile, KOC President Besim Hasani praised the presence of Minister Dumoshi and Rector Dema, and spoke about the importance of the Olympic Day.

"Today is the Olympic Day, a special day for Kosovo athletes and the sports community. This day finds Kosovo in a good moment, when we have five Olympic norms from judo and one from wrestling, and we expect that also other athletes will bring Olympic norms and be represented as good as possible ", said among others President Hasani .

Let us remember that Kosovo has an Olympic gold medal in the Olympic Games, thanks to the judoka Majlinda Kelmendi. The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will be held next summer.

Also, Minister Dumoshi, accompanied by Deputy Minister Engelbert Zefaj and Director of the Department of Sports, Iber Alaj, visited the central office of KOC, to discuss issues related to sports and its further development in our country.
