The cornerstone of the Tower Basri Canolli was laid on the anniversary of the fall of the hero of Gollak

The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Vlora Dumoshi, attended the anniversary of the fall of the hero of Gollak, Basri Canolli, where the foundation stone of the construction of the Tower of the hero Basri (Halil) Canolli - Shpendi was laid, in the village of Marec, an investment of the MCYS, a facility of heritage which will bear his name.

The ceremony was also attended by former Prime Minister of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj, former MPs of the area and comrades of the hero Canolli.

On this occasion, Minister Dumoshi said that the state has an obligation to remember the sacrifice of those who have contributed to the freedom of the country and the MCYS is investing in creating conditions for such documentation.

"As a minister, I am honored that today we are laying the foundation stone of the Canolli family tower. This tower will talk a lot. Every brick of this tower will tell the story of our people, the history of Gollak and all our struggle for freedom. I want to thank the family that has stayed close to us in the realization of this project ", said Minister Dumoshi.

The Minister considered that by honoring our fighters and our blood we will enjoy freedom and this investment of the ministry is a documentation of our glorious history so that it is not forgotten.

"We have the generations to come, our children that we going to tell about the journey of Basri and his comrades who have fallen for freedom", the minister added.

MCYS for the implementation of this project will invest over 60 thousand Euros and is expected to be finalized in 4 calendar months.
