Vokrri remains a legend for generations to come

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti took part in the event organized by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports for the publication of the winning bouquet for the statue of Fadil Vokrri, which was held on the occasion of the second anniversary of the death of Kosovo football legend, Fadil Vokrri.

Calling this a special moment, Prime Minister Hoti said that all of us who grew up with the football legend Fadil Vokrri, owe it to his family to show all the honors for the legend, who has made the latest history of Kosovo in sports, along with the minister of that time, with the previous governments, all these activities that have been carried out to take Kosovo where it belongs, to FIFA and UEFA.

"It is an extraordinary success that the government and the state of Kosovo needed. Undoubtedly, Vokrri remains a legend for generations to come. We are honored that today we make the unveiling of the model for the statue of Vokrri, before which in the future athletes and future football legends will bow", said Prime Minister Hoti, thanking all those who have worked to achieve this day.

The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Vlora Dumoshi, said that Fadil Vokrri will remain the biggest icon of sports in Kosovo. In difficult times for Kosovo, Fadil and his generation, when they played, gave this country hope for Kosovo's independence.

"The very presence of the Prime Minister of Kosovo shows the support for sports, as this is the first activity that comes to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. We will always implement the governing program by supporting and advancing the sport of Kosovo ", said Minister Dumoshi, adding that Fadil Vokrri will be our icon, the man who gave a lot for Kosovo for the internationalization of football, making us part of the family of UEFA and FIFA.

Adem Rusinovci, Chairman of the Evaluation Committee for the selection of bouquet and the son of the football legend, Gramoz Vokrri, greeted the participants with a speech.

Participants in the ceremony were also the heads and representatives of KFF, family members of Fadil Vokrri, and former MCYS ministers, Memli Krasniqi, Kujtim Shala and Kujtim Gashi and the initiator of this initiative, MP Bekim Haxhiu.

At the end of this manifestation, the model of the statue of Fadil Vokrri was unveiled, which is expected to be placed in the stadium "Fadil Vokrri" in Prishtina.
