Kosovo and Italy soon with a cooperation agreement in culture

Minister Kujtim Gashi received today in a meeting the Italian Ambassador to Kosovo, Piero Cristoforo Sardi, and the Director of Italian Cultural Institute in Tirana, Alessandra Bertini Malgarini.

The meeting discussed the concretization of cooperation in the field of culture between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Italy through the signing of a state agreement between the two countries for cooperation and accreditation of the office of the Italian Institute of Culture in Kosovo, which will enable support and realization of concrete projects in culture.

Minister Gashi agreed to continue and accelerate the procedures to finalize these concrete initiatives as soon as possible. He said that this concretization of cooperation between Kosovo and Italy will promote cultural exchange in different experiences between national institutions and professionals of the field.

On his part, Ambassador Sardi thanked Minister Gashi for the indicated readiness and said that the cooperation agreement in the field of culture after the conclusion of the negotiation process which is currently taking place and when it is signed between the two countries will open a new chapter on cultural cooperation between Italy and Kosovo.

While the director of the Institute briefed the minister about the work of the institution she leads and said that with its accreditation in Kosovo, the possibility for the realization of many joint projects will open up.
