Kosovo and France willing to intensify cooperation in culture, youth, heritage and sport

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, had a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of France in Kosovo, Didier Chabert.

The Minister and the Ambassador talked about issues of common interest, the relations between the two countries and the need for deepening cooperation, pointing out the specific areas covered by the ministry and a more active communication between the Kosovo institutions and those of France, in order to exchange experiences and professionals of certain fields.

Minister Gashi thanked the Ambassador Chabert for the visit and through him the people and the Republic of France for the contribution and assistance given by the French state to the state-building of Kosovo, in particular in the support of projects and cooperation with the ministry.

While Ambassador Chabert thanked Minister Gashi for the reception and congratulated him on taking up the new office and responsibility he has assumed to lead the ministry.

He reaffirmed the French state's position that it will continue cooperation with the state of Kosovo, especially with MCYS and that there is will and possibility to further expand the cooperation between the two countries.

The ambassador Chabert agreed that France should be part of some cultural activities within the mark of 10th anniversary of the Republic of Kosovo's independence next year.
