Minister Gashi hosted the Head of EU Office, Nataliya Apostolova

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, received today in a meeting the Head of the European Union Office in Kosovo / EU Special Representative, Nataliya Apostolova.

The meeting discussed the co-operation of MCYS with the EU Office in Kosovo / EUSR in specific areas related to culture and cultural heritage, and the Ministry's program and plans for the future.

Minister Gashi said that MCYS is fully committed to cooperating with the EU Office in Kosovo / EUSR for the benefit of culture, cultural heritage, youth and sport and advancing and harmonizing legislation with EU standards.

The minister briefed EU chief in Kosovo, Apostolova, that the area of heritage will remain among the priorities of the ministry.

While, the EU representative, Apostolova, thanked Minister Gashi for the reception and congratulated him on taking up the new office. She stressed that EU co-operation with MCYS will continue on separate projects for culture that promote cultural dialogue among communities living in Kosovo.

Further, Gashi and Apostolova expressed that cooperation and dialogue are the most effective ways to create trust among communities in Kosovo, stressing that they will work in that regard.
