Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi visited the family house of Fazli Boqollit in Raushiq. During this visit, Minister Gashi has closely watched the works being done in this tower, investment of MCYS.

Minister Gashi expressed his satisfaction with the works that are being carried out in this tower and said that "As a minister, we have allocated sufficient funds according to the request of the Regional Cultural Heritage Center in Peja, so that this tower and other towers in the plain of Dukagjini are restored, because these towers have enormous and historical significance of different periods ".

"We are committed to maintaining and restoring these towers in function, de-pending on the role they have had in the past and now and I believe that 2019 will also be a special year for investments in these towers "Said Minister Gashi.

Minister Gashi congratulated the family members for the cooperation and the readiness to return this tower to the function, because in many localities, such towers have already been destroyed. But those that exist, we are interested in acting as ministers.

Meanwhile, Director of Cultural Heritage in Peja, Shpresa Gjonbalaj thanked the Minister for the support and commitment he has expressed to look closely at the restora-tion works of Fazli Boqolli tower.

"This tower has special historical values, feels for patriotic activity, during the '90s this monument was in the service of the reconciliation movement at the helm with Anton Çetta. At this auction there were many concerts hired. It has also been as an Albanian school at the time of the parallel system in Kosovo. He also served in the repair and repair of weapons at the time of liberation resistance for the needs of the KLA, "Gjonbalaj said.

Meanwhile, the head of household Fazli Boqolli thanked Minister Gashi for the contribution and commitment he has shown for the restoration of this historical value tower and also expressed gratitude to all those who are engaged in this restoration.

The tower features the characteristics of fortifying family buildings, which are also typical for the construction of the same type on the Dukagjini Plain. As construction was carried out in the second half of the 20th century.

The monument several times has been burned, initially during World War II. It is burned and then renovated without losing the basic elements of the tower. Even during the last war of 1998/99, the tower of the Serbian forces was burned, leaving only the walls which, in the absence of intervention, are constantly being de-stroyed. For this reason, MCYS has, because of its architectonic, historical, social and spiritual aspects, considered the need for intervention at this monument.
