The National Stadium in Drenas will be the most beautiful in Kosovo and the region

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, together with the Chairman of Assembly, Kadri Veseli and Mayor of Drenas, Ramiz Lladrovci visited the location where the National Stadium of Kosovo will be built.

Minister Gashi announced that MCYS has developed procedures for selecting companies for feasibility. The minister indicated that six companies were selected in the narrow circle and will deal with this process.

"19 prestigious companies that have designed projects for international stadium have competed. They are renowned companies and we are lucky to have such companies in our call for project designs", the minister explained.

"We will soon choose one of the best projects that will be drafted by these companies and we will present it to the public as to what will be the National Stadium that will be built in the Municipality of Drenas", said Minister Gashi, adding that for the first time Kosovo will have a top-level stadium with a capacity of 25-30 thousand seats and will be the largest investment of the state of Kosovo in sports infrastructure.

The Minister also thanked the Chairman of the Assembly Veseli and the mayor of Drenas, Lladrovci, for the interest and readiness shown for the implementation of this capital project, which is the largest in Kosovo's history.

While the Chairman Veseli thanked Minister Gashi and Mayor Lladrovci for engaging and finalizing the preparatory procedures for initiating the stadium procedures.

"This stadium, which will be built in Drenas, in the center of Kosovo, will be one of the most beautiful stadiums not only in the Republic of Kosovo, but I am very confident that it will be the most beautiful in the regions, too. It will be a stadium with the highest standards and at the same time this place will mark history ", said among other things the Chairman of the Assembly, emphasizing the fact that the boys who will play in this stadium will mark historical successes for the representation of the Republic of Kosovo.

Chairman Veseli also spoke about other investments in the area surrounding the stadium so that there will be job opportunities for young people and that might persuade them to stay in Kosovo.

While Mayor Lladrovci said that the Municipality and the citizens of Drenas were lucky that the National Stadium will be constructed in the municipality of Drenas. He mentioned the cooperation he has had with MCYS and Minister Gashi for the conduct and completion of procedures to transfer the properties to the Ministry.

Mayor Lladrovci offered all the support of the Municipality to MCYS and other actors in view of the implementation of this project.
