The jubilee edition of the PriFest International Film Festival has been opened

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi attended tonight the opening of the tenth edition of the PriFest International Film Festival in Prishtina, which will be held from 17 to 22 July. This festival presents films of different genres of different length whether national, regional or internation-al.

Minister Gashi said that PriFest has taken a reasonable place in Albanian cinematog-raphy. He also said that this festival has gathered local and international personalities, who have strengthened the role and importance of PriFest. "This time, in this edition, the state of Kosovo is honored and respected, because there will be presented 11 films of different categories from Koso-vo", said among others Gashi.

Also, Minister Gashi spoke about the accompanying or com-plementary programs, assessing that those programs have further influenced the strengthening of PriFest. He said: "PriFORUM programs such as 'Kosova's Rising Stars' where PriFest promotes new Ko-sovo actors, in front of international filmmakers, as an asset in future co-productions; Then the ’Koso-va Ready to Roll’ program where Kosovo is promoted as a potential country for foreign films, as well as cooperation with “Swiss Contact” which organizes excursions for international guests are the strongest reasons that make us feel proud, me as Minister and the society for such cultural activi-ty".

Also Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi offered support for such pro-jects: "as a minister, I pledge to support you in your legitimate projects, which will represent Albanian cinematography both at home and abroad. The latter will be much more meaningful when we have international co-operation", concluded Minister Gashi.
