Minister Gashi: From today, the sponsors of Culture, Youth and Sports receive benefits of-fered by law

Today, in the office of the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, was organized the ceremony of the distribution of the first sponsorship certificates in the field of sport.

After adopting norma-tive acts for sponsorship, which according to them foresees tax relief for those businesses that spon-sor in the field of culture, youth and sport, for the first time MCYS issues certificates for sports clubs.

Minister Gashi in the meeting with the beneficiaries of the sponsorship has empha-sized that "MCYS is committed to implement the legislation in this field and will review timely and pre-cisely every request that is presented, so that sponsors in the field of culture, youth and sport to ben-efit from the benefits provided by Law no. 05 / L-090 for Sponsorships in the Field of Culture, Youth and Sports ".

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, respectively the commission for reviewing and evaluating applications for issuance of certification for Sponsorships in the field of Cul-ture, Youth and Sports, have examined the first requirements for certifying sponsorship in the field of culture, youth and sport, case have prepared 5 certificates in the field of sports, which certificates to-day are allocated to representatives of sports clubs by the Minister of Sports Kujtim Gashi.

So far, the Committee for reviewing and evaluating requests for issuing certification for sponsorships in the field of Culture, Youth and Sports has addressed seven requests. The require-ments in question were mainly from the Sports Department, and a request from the Department of Youth. Out of the requests for review, 5 of them have met the conditions for obtaining a certificate in accordance with the law and the regulation regulating this field, while two are in the phase of complet-ing the documentation.

The certificates have been prepared in accordance with the MCYS Regulation no. 01/2018 for determining the criteria, procedures and form for certifying sponsorship in the field of Culture, Youth and Sports.

The beneficiaries of these certificates, in their joint statement with the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, after the ceremony of receiv-ing the certificates, expressed their satisfaction and appreciation by considering as very important the distribution of sponsorship certificates. "It's a great day for Kosovo's sport, this day marks the end of football in the sport and it's a day of getting into a phase called a stage of financial stability in sports", said Gazmend Hoxha from Volleyball Club Luboteni.
