Deputy Minister Bakija-Deva participates in the promotion of the program "Creative Europe" in Kosovo

Deputy Minister Burbuqe Bakija-Deva participated in the presentation of the project "Culture for change", part of the European Commission's "Creative Europe" program, with which the Republic of Kosovo, namely the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports has singed an agreement to participate in this program.

The Deputy Minister along with Genoveva Ruiz Calavera, Director for the Western Balkans in the Directorate General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations at the European Commission, have promoted this project under the "Creative Europe" program at the event organized at the premises of the Kosovo Museum, with the theme: Kosovo's participation in the framework of the EU's "Creative Europe" Program.

Days ago, MCYS, together with the Eu-ropean Union, signed an agreement between the European Union and Kosovo on Kosovo's participa-tion in the EU's cultural and creative program "Creative Europe".

Kosovo's participation in this program is very important for promoting activities in the cultural sector through co-operation pro-jects; literary translation projects; networking; European platforms etc. As a result, participation in this program will enable European artists and professionals, as well as thousands of creative organizations and publishers to work together and put their creative works available to citi-zens.

Moreover, the Creative Europe program contributes to the preservation of European cultural and linguistic diversity, European goals for sustainable economic growth, and helps cultural and creative sectors adapt to the digital age and globalization.

Moreover, Kosovo joins at a time when the EU as part of this program as the axis of the year 2018 is set to be the European Year of Cul-tural Heritage as a great opportunity to raise awareness of our shared cultural heritage and the contri-bution of its positive on identity, economy and social development ".
