MCYS supports the Kosovo Writers' League

Today, a memorandum of cooperation has been signed between the MCYS and the Kosovo Writers' League in the office of the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi.

According to this memorandum, the Association of Kosovo Writers is financially supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports with 15 thousand Euros. This financial support is done in order to carry out the activities of the Kosovo Writers' League, specifically for the meeting "Esad Mekuli, which will be held in Prishtina on 17-18 December 2018, in which will be organized literary sessions, inauguration of literary works, academy poetics and visit of cultural-artistic monuments. Also according to this memorandum, these funds will serve for the organization of the international Poetry Festival "Poetry Drini" which is organized in Prishtina, Prizren and Kukes on 09-10 June, 2018, the festival in which will participate more than 100 writers and in whose course various literary activities will be held, and about literary activity during 2018 for organizing activities: 6 literary and inaugural journals in Prishtina, 3 literary sessions for literary-Albanian creativity, 6 literary meetings in primary and secondary schools, 4 literary meetings in Albania and joint activities in the Diaspora.

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, said that as Minister and MCYS we remain committed to supporting the activities of Kosovo's writers.

On the other hand, the chairman of the Kosovo Writers' Association, Shyqri Galica, expressed his satisfaction with the signing of this memorandum and thanked Minister Gashi for his support and work and also expressed readiness to cooperate further.
