MYCS awards five scholarships for cultural heritage studies

04.05.2017

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports will award five full scholarships for post-graduate studies to the most prestigious universities in the United Kingdom (Cambridge, Oxford, UCL, etc.).

In view of the importance and the need to protect, conserve and promote the cultural heritage, also as underscored in the National Cultural Heritage Strategy 2017 - 2027 adopted by the Government of Kosovo, MYCS established a Cultural Heritage Studies Fund, which this year will allocate scholarships for archaeological and anthropological studies, with the intention in future to continue awarding scholarships for restoration and conservation, museology, history, etc.

The application, selection and approval process will be carried out by the British Council in Kosovo, under an agreement entered into with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The application process is open until 24 May 2017 for all eligible students. The students that complete the studies in the United Kingdom are required to return and work for a period of at least 3 years in the cultural heritage institutions of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
