404 thousand Euros to six other federations

In the wake of the direct support to sports federations, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, has today signed a memorandum of cooperation with six other sport federations by financially supporting these federations to implement the plans for 2017.

The total value of support to the six federations amounts to 404 thousand Euros. With 70 thousand Euros for this year will be supported the Boxing Federation of Kosovo, respectively Shooting federation. Wrestling Federation and that of Auto Sports each will each be supported with 68 thousand Euros, while the Federation of Cycling with 65 thousand Euros and the Federation of Swimming with 63 thousand.

By signing the memorandum, the MCYS helps federations and creates incentives for their financial independence so they operate efficiently and provide qualitative improvements.

Minister Shala congratulated federations for signing the memorandums. He said that MCYS is focused on helping sports by supporting federations financially, which, the federations management concerned enables better planning and easier operation.

Among other things, the minister said that, a challenge remain results and representation as a competitor in the competitive level, whether local or international, which influence the improvement of the sport but also the image of Kosovo, and this kind of support from the ministry will have this function.

Meanwhile, executives of the relevant federations thanked Minister Shala for the cooperation and support. They considered that this form of cooperation between MCYS and their federations makes easier the annual plan of activities and enables better management of funds.

On the other hand, this kind of support from ministry has proven that it creates incentives for the activities of federations and qualitative advancement of sports in Kosovo.
