Deputy Minister Hoti hosted by the Minister of Culture of Montenegro

On the second day of his visit to Montenegro, Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Rexhep Hoti, accompanied by our ambassador in Podgorica, Skender Durmishi, met with Minister of Culture in Montenegro, Janko Ljumoviq, who was accompanied by Dragica Milic, Director General of cultural and artistic creativity.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister of Culture, Mr. Janko Ljumoviq, expressed his pleasure for the meeting, presented his views on the possibility of enhancing cooperation between our two countries. Separately, they emphasized the possibility of speeding up the cooperation taking into account the fact that ministries of the two countries have already agreed in principle to sign the Agreement on Cultural Cooperation.

The purpose of this agreement is the expansion of cooperation between the competent authorities of the Contracting Parties in the field of culture, art, cultural heritage, without leaving aside the contemporary achievements of culture of both countries.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Rexhep Hoti, thanked Minister Ljumoviq for the warm reception and presented in front of him numerous opportunities for cultural cooperation, giving a unique place to cultural diversity, meetings with creators, theatrical performances, concerts, as well as the organization of cultural activities for both countries.

Deputy Minister Hoti paid special attention to the book, as a manifold possibility of cooperation that connects also the deepening of cooperation between communities, as fundamental values of companies and institutions of both countries. He requested from the Minister Ljumoviq further support for Kosovo's membership in UNESCO and support for membership of the Republic of Kosovo in Traduki, not forgetting to thank the minister in question for his contribution to Albanian culture even before his appointment. In both cases, Minister Ljumoviq, assured Deputy Minister Hoti that the support will not be limited, but it will be deepened.

During the meeting between the Deputy Minister Hoti and Minister Ljumoviq was talked about areas of cooperation between the competent institutions such as national archives, libraries and museums.

There was also emphasized the need to intensify cooperation in the field of literature, music, visual and performing arts and publishing activities, cinematography and other audio-visual media.

Deputy Minister Hoti and Minister Ljumoviq expressed their satisfaction that this month is the possible month to sign the Agreement on Cultural Cooperation between both ministries in Prishtina.
