In Leipzig, Germany is being held the 27th edition of the Book Fair, which is being attended by 2100 publishers from various countries of the world. Despite the fact that Kosovo publishing houses are not participating in this edition, the poet Shpetim Selmani, was invited to take part to the fair and brought some verses taken out from his book for the public present there.

Selmani, was presented at the fair with the support of the European Network for Literature and Books "Traduki", which financially supports translations of authors in Southeast Europe.

A guest at the fair was also the Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Rexhep Hoti, who met with the member states of "Traduki" from Austria, Liechtenstein, Croatia, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia and Luxembourg.

Within these meetings, Deputy Minister Hoti informed the representatives of the member states "Traduki" about policies and activities that are carried out and implemented by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and on the other side he got their support that the Republic of Kosovo will soon become full member of this European cultural organization.

In particular, they discussed the possibility of cooperating and exchanging activities between Kosovo and the organization's member states.

It was concluded that such arrangements are in favor of lobbying and cultural diplomacy and the name of Kosovo’s culture should be more present at such events as the Book Fair in Leipzig, Germany, which has a 385 year tradition, which had a pause over the years during the time the Berlin Wall was erected and which prevented its operation.

This year's edition of the fair is open from 23 until March 26, and the number of visitors in each edition exceeds 160 thousand.
