Kujtim Shala Minister awarded the annual prizes for literature

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala, at a ceremony held today in his office awarded the National Literature Prize for Life’s Work "Azem Shkreli" and Annual Prizes for literature.

National Literature Prize for Life’s Work "Azem Shkreli" was given to Eqrem Basha, which is accompanied by monetary reward in the amount of 5,000 euro.

The prize for the best literary work, literary critic, esseistics "Ibrahim Rugova" was given to Gëzim Aliu for the study "Ismail Kadare's novels, 1963 - 1990, rhetoric of text and narration"

The prize for the best literary work for children " Vehbi Kikaj " was given to the author Fatmire Duraku for the prose "Dea dhe kërriçi i vetmuar”.

The prize for the best work in prose "Anton Pashku" was given to the writer Majlinda Bregasi for the novel "Ikje".

Meanwhile, the prize for the best work translated into Albanian and vice versa, "Pjeter Bogdani" for translating the novel "Të vdesësh në pranëverë," by Ralph Rothman, was given to Arben Atashi.

The prize for the best work in poetry "Ali Podrimja" was given to Demë Topalli for the work "Sytë që dinë me pa”.

Each of the prizes is accompanied by monetary reward in the amount of 2,500 Euros.

The Professional Jury is composed of Anton Berishaj - chairman, Musa Ramadani, Nerimane Kamberi, Xhevat Sylaj and Agron Y. Gashi - members.
